Viva Costa Rica!

We had a great week in Costa Rica with the family. It was very hot and humid and had a tendency to rain in the evenings. The days, however were pleasantly sunny which allowed us all to come home with some nice red sunburns. One of my favorite things was the pool at the hotel we stayed in. It was warm and very big. We played a few games of volley ball involving other guests at the hotel. Late one night the entire family spent a couple of hours playing tag.

In the river closest to our hotel there is a large population of crocodiles - very big crocodiles.

This is as we were getting ready to do the ziplines. There was a total of seven different ziplines. It was a lot of fun flying over the river and through the jungle.

We rode horses through the jungle and then hiked to a huge waterfall. After the waterfall we rode the horses to a different part of the river that we could swim in. After the horse ride and hike combined with the sun and humidity swimming felt so good. It was funny finding out the different personalities of our horses. Chris' wanted to bite Sara's horse - and even almost bit Sara. My horse wouldn't let anyone else in front of him, except my mom's horse and would take off running whenever he felt threatened. I had some sore tail bones when I was done.
